Zoo S01E02: "Fight or Flight" I don't know about you all but something tells me that last week's animal attacks were just the beginning of life-threatening hassles for the humans of Zoo. I mean lions are one thing, but if "Fight or Flight" is to be believed this whole "beast uprising" skirmish seems like it's going to involve basically every kind of creature under the sun. Look I'm still processing what went down tonight, but rest assured that I'm going to slap a review down in this very spot just as soon as I let myself out of the restroom and finish cowering from fear. In the mean time-between time, what did you think of "Fight or Flight"? Was it cool, cheesy, riveting, spell-binding, or any other adjectives you might use to describe it? Please feel free to comment and discuss, and we'll all have a grand ol' time downloading the madness that is Zoo soon. Cheers Ryan
What to watch on Tuesday, July 7... 9pm, CBS Zoo After Jackson Oz (and yes, it is official What to Watch Tonight policy to always refer to him as "Jackson Oz," because c'mon) rescues his BFF from a lion attack, our hero suspects that the big cats may have begun killing humans for sport. Clearly, the only solution is to convince the lions that it is duck season, not human season. Elsewhere in "Fight or Flight," Jamie and Mitch find their own piece of the puzzle at the Los Angeles Zoo, Chloe returns to her intelligence work in Paris, and presumably that tree full of killer house cats is still full of killer house cats because house cats aren't the most proactive killer species in the ecosphere. 9pm, ABC Family Stitchers The team investigates when a brain researcher dies in a bizarre car accident in "Finally." (Could the above-mentioned killer lions be branching out into vehicular homicide already? Check the traffic cameras to see if the other driver had a mane.) Meanwhile, Kirsten seeks help from Linus to decode a clue left by Ed Clark. 9pm, TNT Rizzoli & Isles In "Imitation Game," the murder of a notorious thief sends Jane and Maura into the world of art crimes, which is apparently less dapper and charming than White Collar would have you believe. SEASON 3 PREMIERE, 10pm, NBC Hollywood Game Night The third season begins with John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Giada De Laurentiis, Zachary Quinto, and Jane Krakowski, who I imagine will be acting out previews of Heroes Reborn. (John Legend even brought his finest horn-rimmed glasses, just in case.) 10pm, MTV Scream Questions arise in the wake of another teen's murder, questions such as, "So we're really gonna do this every week now, huh?" and "What if Ryan Hardy from The Following winds up on this case, would that help or only make things worse?" Meanwhile in "Hello, Emma," the rift between Emma and Audrey widens. 10pm, USA Royal Pains Keller seeks Hank's help with an embarrassing medical situation in "Secret Asian Man," while Evan fears he's made a huge mistake getting involved with Boris's secret scheme. Elsewhere, Divya treats a group of Civil War reenactors who are so committed to authenticity that they seem to have contracted an old-timey malady. Hopefully she has plenty of laudanum on hand. 10pm, TNT Proof A cop killer's near-death experience may be the channel for an otherworldly message in "Redemption." Making it extra sinister, that message is preceded by a 45-second otherworldly Hardee's commercial, and there's no "skip ad" button. 10pm, FX Tyrant Barry acclimates to his new life, new identity, and new Netflix profile whose recommendation algorithm isn't screwed up by all those drunken Say Yes to the Dress marathons. Elsewhere in "A House Built on Sand," Jamal learns of his ties to a war hero while Ihab and Samira join an extremist group. 10pm, TBS Clipped In "Wi-Fi," Ben's stinginess prompts the girls to try and scam free internet access from the tattoo parlor next door. Meanwhile, Mo lets it slip that Ben has been dealing with a decidedly less desirable form of streaming in the gym shower. 10pm, Comedy Central Inside Amy Schumer Amy tries to navigate an excess of buttonholes in "3 Buttholes," and yes, both of those words are spelled exactly as the logline gave them to me, so you'll have to watch to find out if her challenges are sartorial or anatomical. 10:30pm, Comedy Central Another Period "Funeral" finds Lillian and Beatrice mock-mourning their husbands' fake deaths, while Peepers receives more genuinely tragic news that forces him to return to his Native American roots—perhaps with the help of guest star Lou Diamond Phillips. 12:30am, Comedy Central The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail Kumail's chic new threads are the subject of much discussion in "The One With the Jacket." Performers include Adam Pally, Sean Patton, Matt Braunger, Claudia O'Doherty, and Gil Ozeri.
